Heritage in Bella Vista

Hardwood floors in Bella Vista, Arkansas.

Bella Vista is Heritage home market. We have been Bona Certified hardwood specialists serving Bella Vista homeowners since 2010, working in homes across the Lake Avalon, Lake Bella Vista, Lake Norwood, and Highland golf course neighborhoods, plus the broader POA community. The crew that walks into your home is the same crew that has worked in your neighborhood for over a decade.

Why Heritage in Bella Vista

Heritage's home market for 15 years.

Heritage Hardwood Floors is headquartered in Bella Vista. We have served the Bella Vista community since 2010. Most of our crew lives within driving distance of the work; we know the homes here, the POA rules, the construction era of each neighborhood, and the seasonal moisture patterns that affect hardwood here.

Bella Vista is unique among NW Arkansas markets. The POA structure gives the city a coherence other NW Arkansas cities do not have; the lake communities, golf course neighborhoods, and amenity properties create a planned environment with a high concentration of larger homes that often have extensive hardwood throughout. The retirement community demographic means homeowners here are typically long term residents who care about their homes and want hardwood that will last decades, not flip them after three years.

We see regular maintenance demand as a result. Bella Vista homeowners come back to Heritage every 3 to 7 years for screen and recoat work, and every 10 to 25 years for full sand and finish. Many of the homes we install today have us back for refinish work a decade later.

Heritage is a Bona Certified Contractor, BBB A plus rated, and was featured on television. Founder Tom Stephenson started the company in Bella Vista in 2010. Jessica Hall, our Marketing and Operations lead, was named 2024 Ultimate Wood Floor Gal by Wood Floor Business Magazine. Past institutional clients include Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, The Momentary, and the University of Arkansas.

Real Work in Bella Vista

Real work in Bella Vista neighborhoods.

Heritage has been in Bella Vista homes since 2010. We have installed and refinished hardwood across the Lake Avalon, Lake Bella Vista, Lake Norwood, and Highland golf course neighborhoods, plus the broader POA community north and west of the lakes. Our jobs span new construction installs in the newer infill homes, full refinishes on 1990s and 2000s era homes coming up on their first major refinish, and repair plus board replacement work on older homes whose floors have lived through Bella Vista weather cycles.

The institutional credential that matters most for Bella Vista homeowners is the in house team. We do not subcontract the work. The same crew you meet on the estimate is the crew that does the install or refinish. That continuity matters in a community where homeowners talk to each other and a reputation moves quickly through the POA.

Bella Vista Neighborhoods

Where we work in Bella Vista.

Lake Avalon

Larger lake homes with extensive hardwood throughout. Heritage has done full installs and refinishes here. The mix of 1990s era construction and newer infills gives every kind of hardwood project.

Lake Bella Vista

Lake adjacent homes with high humidity exposure. Heritage understands the seasonal moisture patterns that affect hardwood near the lakes; we account for it in acclimation and finish choice.

Lake Norwood

Mature established neighborhood. Most homes due for refinish on their original hardwood. Heritage refinishes here regularly.

Highlands and golf course homes

The Bella Vista golf course neighborhoods carry larger homes with hardwood across living, dining, and primary suites. Heritage handles installations, refinishes, and inlay work for these properties.

Cooper area and broader POA

Mid range homes across the broader POA community. Heritage works the full range of POA neighborhoods, from established 1980s homes through newer construction.

The Bella Vista market we work in

Bella Vista started as a Cooper Communities retirement development through the 1960s to the 1980s, which means the housing stock is full of 1970s to 1990s ranch and split level homes with original 2-1/4 inch red oak strip floors. A large share of our Bella Vista work is dustless refinishing of those floors for new homeowners taking over from retirees. The oak is still sound, it just needs to lose 40 years of polyurethane and come back to life.

Bella Vista landmarks we work at and near

The seven Bella Vista Village POA golf courses, Lake Ann, Lake Windsor, Lake Avalon, the Tanyard Creek Nature Trail, the Bella Vista Historical Museum, Riordan Hall, and the Branchwood Recreation Center. Frequent neighborhoods include Lakeside and Lake Windsor lakefront homes, Metfield, Scotsdale, and homes along the Highlands golf course.

Bella Vista FAQ

Bella Vista hardwood FAQ.

Do you understand POA construction guidelines?

Yes. We have worked across Bella Vista POA neighborhoods since 2010. Most flooring work falls within standard POA guidelines, but we coordinate with homeowners on any work that may need POA acknowledgment.

My Bella Vista home has 25 year old hardwood. Refinish or replace?

Almost always refinish. Solid 3/4 inch hardwood from the 1990s and 2000s has plenty of wood left for one or more refinishes. We do this assessment on the free in home estimate.

Lakefront home, high humidity, what species and finish do you recommend?

Engineered hardwood is more stable in high humidity environments than solid. White oak and hickory hold up well. Bona Traffic HD finish stands up to humidity cycling better than many alternatives. We sample on site for your specific property.

Can you match an existing Bella Vista hardwood color from 20 years ago?

Yes. Custom stain matching is core to what we do. We sample against the existing floor on the estimate visit and refine the match before committing.

Do you have references in my Bella Vista neighborhood?

Most likely. After 15 plus years working across Bella Vista, we have references in nearly every neighborhood. Ask on the estimate visit and we will share neighborhood specific references.

Heritage is based in Bella Vista. Do you offer same week estimates for local homeowners?

Yes. Because we are headquartered in Bella Vista, we can often get a free in-home estimate scheduled within a few days for local homeowners. Call (479) 426-5337 or email HeritageHardwoods2010@yahoo.com to book.

Can you refinish the original 1980s oak floors in a Bella Vista POA home without forcing us to move out?

Yes. Dustless sanding with HEPA filtered containment means the vast majority of Bella Vista refinishing jobs are done with the family still living in the home. We coordinate one room at a time or whole house schedules to minimize disruption.

Do you install hardwood in the hillside and split level homes common in Bella Vista?

Yes. Many Bella Vista homes are built into hillsides with walkout basements on slab and upper living levels on joists. We spec engineered hardwood for slab levels and solid oak or white oak for upper levels, and make the transitions look seamless.
